Our goats are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association and we are gearing up to participate in DHIR testing and linear appraisal to improve our herd genetics. We are a G6S normal herd by testing for our very first goats and by parentage from 2019.
During the 2022 season, we had a tremendously difficult season. Somehow, our small herd was infected with mycoplasma ovipneumoniae. It was a hard year for the goats and for us. These lovely does are no longer with us here on the farm but forever in our hearts. We lost 27 goats to this mycoplasma, but learned many things moving forward.
